Mozambican customs have seized about 4,000 boxes of alcoholic beverages allegedly imported illegally. The seizure, performed by customs officials employed in the ongoing “I am Fiscal and No to Contraband” operation, took place at a warehouse in Matola’s Tsalala neighbourhood.
If the merchandise is proved to have been imported illegally, the Mozambican state will have been defrauded to the tune of about five million Meticais (around US$83 thousand at current exchange rates).
