The final results of the investigation into the causes of Cornelder air crash aircraft might not be known for 20 days, but according to the Civil Aviation Institute of Mozambique, weather conditions are indicated as a factor.
João de Abreu, President of the Civil Aviation Institute of Mozambique, yesterday revealed that the pilots of the ETA plane, which was transporting Cornelder managers when it crashed two weeks ago on the border between Mozambique and Zimbabwe, began their descent to an airport that did not have adequate radio aids for an instrument flight in poor visibility and were caught off guard.
Speaking on the sidelines of the eighth meeting of the community of Lusophone civil aviation authorities, de Abreu said that researchers had finished searching the area, and that the final report would be presented within the next 20 days.
Zimbabwe is leading the investigations with the help of Mozambican technicians.
