Mozambique: Prime rate cut for the ninth time this year
Vitória Diogo launches revision of Labour Law, Mechanisms for Contracting Foreign Citizens – Niassa, Mozambique

The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Vitória Dias Diogo, is making a working visit to Niassa province this week, and will chair the first meeting of the Labour Law revision process.
She will also be acquainting herself with the degree of compliance with the government’s Economic and Social Plan and Five-Year Program in her sector
During the four days of the visit, meetings with local government authorities, social partners, officials from the sector and stakeholders in the province’s labour market, including workers and employers, are also planned.
In addition to workers and unions, today’s meeting in Lichinga will be attended by provincial, municipal and district government leaders. The instruments that regulate the labour market in Mozambique, in addition to the Labour Law, will be presented. These include the Regulation of Mechanisms for Contracting Foreign Citizens, the Decree on Private Employment Agencies, as well as the Decree on the Port Regulations and the Law on Contracts.
