The executive secretary of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), Francisco Ribeiro Telles, on Thursday advocated free mobility among the organisation’s member countries as a priority.
The mobility intended fits within the ambit of the CPLP’s 2016-2026 strategic vision, with a view to implementing a form of CPLP citizenship.
Ribeiro Telles held an hour-long meeting with President Filipe Nyusi.
“The situation in Guinea-Bissau has also been analysed, but the free movement of people and goods among the member countries of the community has become a matter of priority for the next two years of office,” Telles said.
Francisco Ribeiro Telles also expressed solidarity with the victims of the natural disasters that devastated the centre and north of Mozambique in March and April of this year.
