MozParks participated this week in the “Invest in Mozambique” panel at the U.S.–Africa Business Summit 2025, held in Luanda and organized by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in partnership with the Government of Angola. The session brought together representatives from Mozambique’s public and private sectors to present investment opportunities and national priorities for industrial and economic development.
Representing MozParks, General Manager Onório Manuel shared insights into the country’s evolving industrial landscape and the role of economic zones in supporting long-term, inclusive growth. He presented MozParks’ flagship project, Beluluane Industrial Park, which has attracted more than USD 3 billion in investment and is home to over 60 companies from 18 countries. He also spoke about the company’s national expansion strategy, including developments in Topuito (Nampula Province) and the upcoming network of new industrial parks and logistical bases in Cabo Delgado.
“We’re proud to be part of a growing effort to position Mozambique as a destination of choice for industrial investment in Africa,” said Onório Manuel. “MozParks is ready to support new investors with production-ready infrastructure, centralized government support, and long-term growth opportunities.”
Expanding into Cabo Delgado: A National Industrial Strategy
As part of its national expansion, MozParks is developing a network of six industrial parks and logistical bases in Cabo Delgado, strategically located around major investment projects in the gas, mining, and agro-industrial sectors.
This expansion will follow MozParks’ supplier-park model, where key suppliers and service providers to anchor projects are situated within dedicated, infrastructure-ready zones. The model aims to strengthen local supply chains, create sustainable economic linkages, and improve market access for SMEs across Mozambique.
Each park is projected to create up to 10,000 jobs and support income generation for over 100,000 Mozambicans, contributing significantly to inclusive economic recovery and long-term regional stability.
This vision builds on the momentum of the Cabo Delgado Parks Roundtable, organized in 2024 by the Provincial Government of Cabo Delgado. The event brought together stakeholders from government, the private sector, and multinational companies operating in the region, including ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies, ENI, and Twigg Exploration and Mining, to align on industrial infrastructure needs and the province’s development priorities.
