Two minors are missing for more than 24 hours after they were kidnapped on Tuesday morning by unknown individuals by unknown individuals in the region of Mapombe, Gorongosa district, Sofala province. One of the victims is three-year-old Zelita Ricardo and the other Joaquina Onor, aged 14.
Police in Sofala have ruled out the possibility that this case of kidnapping may be in any way related to the political instability that Gorongosa experienced in the past few months and said it is working to clarify the case.
Police say there were still no leads that could lead to the identification and location of the perpetrators.
