Two dead bodies found in Mocuba, Mozambique

A young man, whose identity is yet to be established, was found dead in the early hours of Monday in a drainage ditch in the Marmanelo neighbourhood of Mocuba city, in Zambezia province.

Another individual was found dead on a road in the CFM residential area on the same day.

Both corpses were naked and showed signs of having been beaten. It is assumed that the victims had been assaulted.

The body of the first victim had severe injuries to the lower limbs, prompting neighbourhood residents to conclude that he was brutally beaten before being killed and dumped in the ditch along the road between Mocuba and the Carreira de Tiro neighbourhood.

The body found in the CFM neighbourhood had what looked like machetes blows to the body.
