Two children murdered and found dismembered in Gúruè, Zambézia

Two brothers have been snatched and murdered in Vila do Guruè, Zambezia province, and their bodies found dismembered, A Verdade reports.

The children, aged 3 and 8, were kidnapped near their home in Vila do Gurúè on Monday (04-050, Three days later, their partial corpses were discovered in one of the district’s tea plantations.

The children’s aunt, their mother’s sister, told reporters that the pair were last seen in the company of the mother’s ex-partner, with whom they left the area. “Yesterday I received a phone call to get to the hospital. I got here and was shown the bodies, dead and cut up”.

Doctor Óscar Muachane, of Guruè District Hospital, said that the children’s bodies “didn’t have [anything] from the lower abdomen down. The rest of the lower limbs, we couldn’t find”.
