Tropical storm Erin forms near Cape Verde Islands

Tropical Storm Erin formed near the Cape Verde Islands, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Monday.
The storm is located about 280 miles (455 km) west-northwest of the Cape Verde Islands, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour (75 km/h).
11am EDT Mon Aug 11th – Tropical Storm #Erin has formed in the far eastern tropical Atlantic just west of the Cabo Verde Islands.
