Three Harare men have been jailed for five years after appearing in court before Masvingo magistrate for human trafficking on Tuesday.
According to court documents, Howard Munyanyi (31) , Tatenda Mudangi (19) and Edlian Wyne (20) teamed up and carried four Mozambican nationals in a Honda fit who were seeking for employment in Zimbabwe.
The documents further states that on 30 May Munyanyi was driving a Honda fit registration number ADX 8962 with six passengers on board.
The car was stopped by Masvingo police at a roadblock where they discovered the four who were going to Gutu to seek employment.
The suspects were arrested and remanded in custody to 4 July while the Mozambicans were deported.
The suspects were sentenced to 5 years imprisonment and 2 years were suspended on condition of good behaviour.
