Road traffic on National Road Number Four (EN4) between the border town of Ressano Garcia and the intersection with the Moamba district headquarters in Maputo province, southern Mozambique, is to be subject to traffic controls.
The measure, in force on section 16 of EN4, will allow rehabilitation of 40 km of roadway over a period of ten months.
A statement from TRAC Mozambique sent to AIM says that the heavy traffic on the road will mean delays at times. In order to minimize disruption, “Stop and Go” systems will be implemented.
Section 16 currently has just two lanes, one in each direction. It will not be widened at this time, unlike other sections.
