Three individuals arrested for raping children in Gaza and Maputo provinces – Mozambique

Three people, including an elderly man, were recently arrested on three separate and unrelated counts of rape.
Two of the men were arrested in Gaza Province, while the third was arrested in Maputo.
In the first case, a 69-year-old man was arrested in Mandlakazi district (Gaza Province) and charged with raping his eight-year-old granddaughter.
In a separate incident, a 16-year-old minor was arrested in the Patrice Lumumba neighbourhood, Xai-Xai, for raping a three-year-old toddler.
In Maputo, the PRM arrested a young man for raping his 12-year-old neighbour in Mahotas.
