Mozambique and Brazil can lead on energy transition among CPLP countries
The coal business of mining company Jindal Africa in Tete province is already being negatively affected by the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak, which started in China.
According to Jindal project director in Mozambique, Ragendra Tiwari, the selling price of coking coal has dropped by 45% in Asia’s largest market.

Tiwari said that, if the situation prevailed, difficult days could be expected for the company, which had planned to sell close to 800,000 tons of thermal and coking coal this year.
