Health authorities in the district of Chifunde, Tete province, are concerned about the increasing number of cases of intoxication caused by taking traditional medicines.
Thirty cases have been recorded so far, according to Júlio Bacar, interim District Director for Health, Women and Social Action.
Júlio Bacar underlined that intoxication by traditional medicines had led to the hospitalisation of patients in various health units in Tete city.
