Police have detained 10 alleged ‘fake’ teachers, accused of teaching with false documentation in the district of Mocuba, Zambezia province, police spokesman Miguel Caetano confirmed on Monday.
Caetano said that the teachers were identified by the education sector in the province, in a joint operation with the police, adding that the arrest of the teachers, allegedly teaching with false documentation, was in compliance with a court order.
“In fact, they were in an irregular situation as regards documentation. The court issued an arrest warrant, and when all the elements were gathered together, the police simply apprehended them. They are now in the provincial penitentiary,” Caetano said.
