The Prime Minister stated that Tanzania continues to be a strategic partner for Mozambique, given the new and different challenges our country faces.
Speaking to the Mozambican press during the celebrations of the sixty years of unification between the then Tanganyika and Zanzibar, Adriano Maleiane pointed out, for example, the terrorism in Cabo Delgado Province, whose combat involves Tanzania.
For Maleiane, it would be unfair not to attend the celebration of the sixty years of the United Republic of Tanzania because the liberation history of Mozambique had the unconditional support of this country in East Africa.
Prime Minister Maleiane said that in recent years, Tanzania has been experiencing remarkable and progressive multifaceted development, and Mozambique has much to learn from Tanzanians.
For the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu, the socioeconomic development recorded in the last sixty years is the result of the commitment of all Tanzanians.
The ceremony commemorating the sixtieth anniversary of the unification of Tanganyika and Zanzibar was attended by some African Heads of State and Government, including Azali Assoumani, President of Comoros and the African Union.
