The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, will itoday (Thurs 08-02) receive his counterpart from the Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, who is on a three-day visit to Mozambique.
A communiqué from the Presidency of the Republic indicates that the visit of the Swiss president to the country comes in response to the invitation made by the Head of State, Filipe Nyusi.
This occasion will serve to deepen the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two peoples and countries, as well as to foresee future actions and exchange points of view on the internal situations of Mozambique and Switzerland.

The visit is also an opportunity for government officials to address the implementation of the Demilitarization, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) process, the fight against terrorism and climate change.
This is the first visit by a president of the Swiss Confederation to Mozambique.
