Mozambique: Government promises more business-friendly legislation
TVM / President Filipe Nyusi receives the outgoing ambassador of the Kingdom of Swaziland in Mozambique, Christian Nkambule in Maputo, on January 26, 2017.
The outgoing ambassador of the Kingdom of Swaziland in Mozambique, Christian Nkambule, believes that there is a need to explore the potential to improve trade between the two countries and their people.
Nkambule was speaking at a press conference on Thursday 26 January, following a meeting with President Filipe Nyusi on the occasion of the end of his official mission in the country.
“Regarding trade, there is some that is happening between the two countries, but what we are trying to do is improve this even further because we feel that there is room for such improvement, especially in the commercial area”, he said.
According to Nkambule, the close geographical proximity between Mozambique and Swaziland and the positive relations that exist between the two countries are just some of the factors that have resulted in greater informal cross-border trade.
