The ‘Tumbine TV’ channel writes on its social media page that a swarm of bees took over part of Milange village between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, an unusual event at this time of the year.
Several people in the area between the Catholic church and the public transport parking lot were stung.
The swarm also caused havoc in the Cabanga and Kilombo areas of the 25 de Junho neighbourhood, according to the Tumbine TV post.
The unseasonal scenario arises just as the village is about to receive the President of the Republic, with several teams already on the ground preparing for the visit.
