The “Festival for Women, by Women” – Fest ELAS – is an artistic and cultural initiative part of the celebrations of Mozambique’s 50th anniversary of national independence.
Fest ELAS has Mozambican women at its epicentre and promises to be an unforgettable show, where music, fashion, dance and poetry intertwine in a unique celebration of Mozambican art and women.
The festival enjoys the participation of these incredible artists:
Companhia Nacional de Canto e Dança;
- Kika Materula;
- Elvira Viegas;
- Yolanda Kakana;
- Nelma Mfumo;
- Leyna Souto;
- Xixel Langa;
- Beauty Sitoe;
- Domingas and Belita;
- Tchakaze;
- Rosalia Mboa;
- and Duda.
They are joined by fashion designers Rute Varela and Isis Mbanga.
The “Women by Women” Festival will take place on 7 April, Mozambican Women’s Day, at the Mozambique- China Cultural Centre,, starting at 4:30 p.m..
