The Mozambican government has granted members of the Muslim community a day off today, Friday, in celebration of the Feast of Sacrifice, or Eid al-Adha, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security has announced.
The day-off “does not cover workers whose activity does not allow for interruptions, in the public interest”, the communique points out.
In a statement, the supervising minister calls for “celebrations to be held individually or at home, within the scope of the Covid-19 prevention measures approved by the Government”.
