South Africa and Mozambique are commemorating the Matola raid, where 12 Umkhonto Wesizwe cadres and one Mozambican national were killed by Apartheid forces in 1981.

Judge Allie Sachs was on Tuesday (14 February) delivering a lecture in Maputoat Eduardo Mondlane University to honour the 13 Matola raid victims.
