Mozambique: Escape at Maputo Penitentiary - Police continue efforts to recapture fugitives

South African Police are trying to find the next of kin and residence of a Mozambican national (23) found hanging from a tree in Lydenburg, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
His body was discovered by two residents who went to cut wood around 09:00 on Monday December 28 on the Mosterthoek/ Frischgewaagd road near the old cemetery. Police believe the man must be a resident of nearby Skhila or Mashishing.
He was wearing dark blue pants and red underwear. Red and orange slip-ons were found at the base of the tree as was a dark blue T-shirt.
The deceased had his identification card and a cell phone on him. His identity will be made public after his family has identified him.
