Sofala: Gale leaves trail of destruction in Machanga

Several homes, schools and health centres were partially or totally destroyed by a gale that struck the Chiluane administrative post in the Machanga district of Sofala on Monday.
Machanga administrator Tomé José said that a storm was with strong winds and rain had been affecting the region since early on Sunday morning.
José said Machanga district government had set up a task team which was assessing the damage and arranging support for affected families.
