Six teachers die in road accident in Dondo, Mozambique, 11 more injured

The Jossias Tongogara primary school in Sofala province has lost six of its teachers as a result of a road accident yesterday in the town of Mutua, Dondo district.
The crash occurred on the N6 and left another eleven wounded, two of them seriously.
Sofala provincial police spokesman Daniel Macuácua revealed that the victims were returning from the funeral of a colleague in the city of Beira, and said that speeding, poor lane discipline [“driving in the opposite direction”] and poor road conditions were the likely causes of the accident.
