Singers visit prisoners in Maputo

A group of 18 well-known Mozambican women singers visited Ndlavela women’s prison in Maputo yesterday as part of Mozambican Women’s Day, which is officially celebrated on Saturday.
During the visit, the singers mixed with inmates, handed out gifts and attended lectures on prisoners’ rights and psychological and motivational support.
Artistes Neyma, Lizha James, Marlen, Anita Macuácua, Lourena Nhate, Liloca, Mimae, Zav, Bling Lady, Matilde Conjo and Júlia Duarte all gave performances.
