Mozambique: Maputo library hosts celebration for Lília Momplé at 90
“Shakespeare Lives” in Maputo, Africa, today

To celebrate the four hundredth anniversary of the death of British playwright and poet William Shakespeare, the British Council and High Commission and partners have organized an event in his memory on Friday, April 22.
“Shakespeare Lives” was launched as a global campaign in February, and at that time Maputo residents were able to enjoy excerpts from ,Macbeth.
Today’s event will be attended by about 200 guests from the arts and culture scene, plus political and business figures and other civil society personalities.
