Mozambique: Mondlane supporters get tear gassed at attorney general's office
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic met with his Mozambican counterpart Jose Condungua Pacheco and a group of business people in that country’s capital Maputo.
Serbia wants to have the best possible relations with African states, as well as larger trade volumes, Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said Thursday during a visit to Mozambique.
“We are continuing the tradition of Yugoslavia, Serbia is the successor, and, in that sense, we want the best possible relations with all African states,” he said during a meeting with counterpart Jose Pacheco.
The two ministers said their countries’ could renew economic, political, military and cooperation in education after a long break and recalled the support the people of Mozambique enjoyed from Yugoslavia during their struggle for independence, the Serbian Foreign Ministry said in a press release, adding that Pacheco “distanced himself from any separatist movement which could contribute to breaking up Serbia and expressed full support for its territorial integrity”.
Dacic met with a group of business people who expressed interest in promoting trade and urged the signing of inter-state bilateral agreements on economic cooperation and the development of agriculture, the press release said.
