Sentencing of Brazilian arrested in Maputo airport with 5.4 kg of cocaine due today

The Seventh Chamber of the Judicial Court of the City of Maputo will today, February 27th at 9:00 a.m., hear the sentencing of the Brazilian female Ariane Monteiro Aragao, 24 years old, single, and born in Belem, Brazil.
Aragao was detained on June 26, 2019, at Maputo International Airport, having just disembarked from flight ET819 from Addis Ababa, on the Brazil-Addis Ababa-Maputo route.
Police found 5.4 kg of cocaine in her possession, and subsequently opened case 80/2019/7a-B.
Aragao is accused of drug trafficking, foreseen, and punishable, under Article 33 number 1 of Law number 3/97 of 13 March, with reference to table V of the appropriate Legal Diploma, with 16 to 20 years in prison.
