SENAMI ‘lightning strike’ operation detains irregular foreigners in Maputo – Miramar

A ‘lightning strike’ operation by the National Migration Service (SENAMI) surprised a number of foreigners with irregular immigration status in Maputo on Thursday morning.
Teams positioned at access points around the Zimpeto National Stadium, including on the Maputo Ring Road and on the EN1, detained foreigners of various nationalities – namely Ugandans, Rwandans and Jordanians – who are in the country illegally.
