Security guard killed in raid on Chimoio marble works

The raid on the Huaxi Helin Mining processing plant took place around 3:00 a.m. on Monday, according to security guards.
Individuals with firearms broke into the facility, killing one of the security agents on duty, and made their way to the office, where they stole cash.

A police spokesman in Manica confirmed the outlines of the case and said that the criminals tried unsuccessfully to steal a vehicle and computer equipment before making their getaway.
The firm’s managers declined to grant an interview, allegedly for fear of impeding the investigation being carried out by the police and SERNIC.
