The searches continue to locate the body of a teenager who died drowned in the Zambeze River, in an area known as INEFP, in the city of Tete. The boy, aged 13, died while bathing in the company of some friends.
When his friends discovered that he had disappeared, they made arrangements to call the fire department to try to rescue the victim’s body.
So far, the operation in Tete continues, a search is supported by local fishermen and women. The Zambezi River is also known as a habitat dominated by crocodiles.
Meanwhile, search teams in Inhambane Bay continue to look for the bodies of two fishermen who went missing in a wreck on Saturday, on the wake of the bad weather which hit that part of the country.
The wrecked boat carried 10 fishermen and eight managed to swim to back to shore. The remaining two disappeared.
