Mozambique: Rainy season death toll rises to 313

The bridge over the Save River connecting the provinces of Inhambane and Sofala was closed on Thursday (March 5) to allow the commencement of rehabilitation works, a statement from the National Road Administration (ANE) received by Radio Mozambique reads.
Vehicles crossing the temporary substitute bridge across the Save River while rehabilitation works are ongoing will be limited to 45 tons tare weight.
The communiqué also states that, for safety reasons, the temporary bridge will be closed from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m..
