The Saudi Minister for African Affairs,Ahmed Bin Abdul Aziz Kattan, begins a working visit to Mozambique today within the framework of strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OCI).
The visit takes place as part of the minister’s tour of the African continent, which is part of the preparations for the Arab-African summit, a statement from the Mozambican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation informs.

During his 17 to 18 November visit, Ahmed Kattan will hold a meeting with the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel José Gonçalves.
In March of this year, the Saudi Arabia ambassador Abdulmalek Alyousfi, expressed his country’s desire to invest in the transport and oil and gas sectors in Mozambique during a visit to the premises of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA), the largest employer in the country.
“We are here to make contacts with the private sector in order to promote business meetings between entrepreneurs from both countries,” Ambassador Abdulmalek Alyousfi said at the time.
