Mozambique: Use of live ammunition against protesters is not normal – Justice Minister
Jacob Neves, head of the Community of Sant’Egidio in Inhambane, has said that a meeting between President Filipe Nyusi and Renamo leader Afonso Dhlakama is urgently needed to strengthen peace and stability in the country.
According to Neves, cited by state-owned Radio Mozambique, attacks by armed Renamo men are nullifying the efforts of all Mozambicans in the fight against poverty, and dialogue is the best way to resolve the differences.
