South African rand softer before GDP data, analysts expect modest growth

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hasssan will hold a conversation with her Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame as the latter expects to land in Dar es Salaam on Thursday for a two-day state visit.
A press statement issued by Tanzania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation Communication Unit on Wednesday stated that Kagame and his delegation will be welcomed by the Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Dr Stergomena Tax at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Salaam today.
While in the country, the statement added, President Kagame will meet and hold a conversation with his host, President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the State House in Dar es Salaam on Thursday (April 27, 2023).
“The two leaders will then brief journalists on what will be agreed at the meeting,” it said.
According to the Ministry, Tanzania and Rwanda have always enjoyed a close bilateral relationship, leading the two countries to partner in various strategic sectors including business and investments, energy, transport, education and culture.
“This visit is a good sign towards strengthening the brotherly relations among the two countries for the betterment of both sides,” the statement said.
