A South African court in Kempton Park has rejected a request for the release of former finance minister Manuel Chang who has been detained in Johannesburg for over a week.
Lawyers made a request for the release of Chang, arguing that his arrest was illegal.
After hearing the arguments of the Prosecutor and the defense, the judge stood down the hearing, and returned to the room with a decision: to deny Manuel Chang freedom.
