Robbery at Rádio Zambeze: A threat to press freedom, reports local paper

Unknown individuals still at large have targeted the premises of privately owned radio station Radio Zambezi FM in Quelimane, stealing computers, tape recorders and other equipment essential to the operation of the station.

Diario da Zambezia sources say that the security guard on duty had not realized the robbery had taken place.

This is not the first theft from media establishments in Quelimane. Radio FM Quelimane and Diario da Zambezia have also been targeted, and although they have filed complaints, have not seen their cases solved.
