Mozambique: Elephant stuck in mud for 2 days saved after 8-hour rescue

According to a bulletin quoted by Radio Mozambique, water levels in Gorongosa and Mafambisse rivers in the Púngoè basin will rise over the next 72 hours, counting from yesterday.
In the Búzi basin, a rise is expected in Goonda, and the barge crossing between Guara-guara and Banduawill will remain suspended.
According to the bulletin, the level in the Limpopo basin in Combunune remains at “alert” but is likely to fall. In Massangena, the Save is also expected the rise.
Isolated urban flooding in Maputo, Xai-Xai and Beira cities is predicted.
