Renamo presents Venâncio Mondlane in Maputo; candidates to be announced in 2 weeks

Venâncio Mondlane is the new reinforcement of Renamo in the City of Maputo. He was presented publicly this Tuesday by the party’s Secretary General Manuel Bisssopo.
Bissopo neither confirmed nor denied whether Mondlane is running as Renamo’s ‘head of the list’ for Maputo City in the upcoming municipal elections. All he said was that the bases are working and that, in two weeks, the party will announce ts candidate.
Venâncio Mondlane resigned as a deputy in the Assembly of the Republic by the Movimento Democrático de Moçambique (MDM) due to alleged “incompatibility and constraints” as to the performance of his duties.
