Ce-Muhamede Jabar Liganga (Mataaka IX) died last Wednesday in the Mavago district of Niassa province, after 10 years, 9 months and 20 days in power, Jornal Domingo reports.
The voice of the man who had a reconciling role between the spirits and a community where it is believed that there is always an occult and obscure evil that haunts its development, has fallen silent.
It was Régulo [Traditional Chief] Mataaka who regularly spoke to the ancestors in search of solutions to the problems of the community and seeking protection against illness, as is believed in the region, judge-elect of the Judicial Court of the district of Mavago Armindo M’sussa Amade told Domingo.
