WGC TotalEnergies CEO aims to lift force majeure on Mozambique LNG project
O País / Only one gas station in the city of Chimoio has fuel
The shortage of gasoline is biting deeper in the city of Chimoio in Manica, opening space for price speculation with fuel costing twice as much on the informal market, O País reported on Sunday.
“There is no gas at the pumps, and it is selling for 100 meticais a litre on the street,” one motorist said.
In the only station with gasoline, the demand is so great that managers are not selling to customers with containers.
The measure prohibiting the sale of fuel in containers was proclaimed by Manica’s Mineral Resources and Energy Department in order to reduce price speculation.
