Mozambique: Nyusi calls for mutual respect between health professionals and patients
The Quelimane Central Hospital in Zambezia will run out of money to feed patients at the facility in the next three months, clinical director César Macome revealed on Monday.
The lack of funds will also affect cleaning, fuel and power generation.
In fact, Quelimane Central Hospital needs more than 20 million meticais to get through the next three months.

“In order for us to operate until the end of the year, we need twenty-two million meticais. The Zambézia provincial health directorate is working towards this and it is all safeguarded so that there will be no problems at all,” said the clinical director of Quelimane Central Hospital in Zambézia.
César Macome said the hospital would have spent all the 27 million meticais state budget by October, adding that, because of insufficient funds, the institution owed various entities money, mainly for water and energy.
