Kigali hosts Consultation Meeting on Cooperation between Rwanda and Mozambique
Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosario says progress in restoring trust between Mozambique and international cooperation partners especially the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is being made.
[Agostinho] do Rosario was speaking in Lichinga at a meeting with businessmen during a working visit to Niassa province which ended on Sunday. The prime minister’s speech was notable for his exhortation for entrepreneurs to increase production to boost exports.
Summing up, do Rosario said the government would continue to pay the District Development Fund throughout the country, despite low returns. He said the fund, currently standing at seven million meticais, was changing people’s lives, but should be reformed.
