Five private security agents have been detained by police in Cabo Delgado for alleged involvement in robberies of homes and businesses.
According to the police, the first two private security agents were detained ‘in flagrante delicto’ while robbing a residence of assets valued at about 100,000 meticais.
Another case came to light in Balama district, where three private security guards and three accomplices were caught stealing fuel from a graphite mining company.
In addition to the robberies, Cabo Delgado police recorded four road accidents, resulting in four deaths, in the first ten days of this month.
