Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosário on Friday swore in Jamal Omar and Benedita Guimino as central bank administrators at the same time as Waldemar de Sousa, Alberto Bila and Paulo Maculuve vacate their posts, having completed their mandates.
The prime minister demanded of the new administrators the promotion of the stability of inflation and the exchange rate.
They take office at a time when the country is still seeking economic stability in the face of recent natural disasters and the economic shock of the withdrawal of support from partners.
The prime minister also on Friday ( April 26) swore in Manuel Malungo as new permanent secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs. Malungo has worked in the ministry for more than 20 years, and replaces Arlindo Langa in the post.
