Mozambique: President Chapo begins working visit to Maputo city

The President of Mozambique, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, is making a working visit to Niassa, Zambézia and Sofala provinces from today until Saturday.
On 8 March, the Mozambican head of state leads the inauguration of 13 bridges over the Lúrio river at the administrative post of Etatara in the district of Cuamba in Niassa, located on the border between the provinces of Niassa and Zambézia .
Also on the agenda of the Mozambican statesman is a visit to the bridge over the Lúrio river, which he will cross into Zambezia for a popular rally attended by people from both provinces.
In Sofala province, President Nyusi is scheduled to travel to the Dondo district, where he will visit the flood-stricken area of Samora Machel.
In this trip to Niassa, Zambézia and Sofala provinces, the head of state is accompanied by the Minister of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, Carlos Bonete Martinho; the Governors of Niassa, Arlindo Chilundo; and Zambézia, Abdul Razak; Director General of the National Institute of Disaster Management Osvaldo Machatine and staff of the presidency and other state institutions.
