President Filipe Nyusi yesterday sent a message of condolences to the Renamo leader on the death on Wednesday night of his daughter, Isabel Afonso Dhlakama.
In the message, the head of state sent sympathy and condolences to the Dhlakama family, on behalf of the government and the Mozambican people, writing that the death interrupted the dreams of a young woman who, despite the vicissitudes of life, sought to contribute to development, her family and general well-being.
“We also want to sincerely express the hope that, as soon as possible, the family will find the courage and strength to calmly recover from this irreparable loss,” the president wrote.
