Filipe Nyusi said this morning that over the next few days he will devote himself to the decentralisation process agreed with the Renamo leader. This is the first time that the President of Mozambique addresses this matter since the death of Afonso Dhlakama.
“We reaffirm that the process continues, of course requiring additional effort to socialise and harmonise the progress we have made, especially with regard to the steps to be taken in the decentralisation process,” he began by saying. “I will dedicate the next few days to this dossier and renewing the dialogue.”
Speaking at a Ponta Vermelha ceremony greeting police for the 43rd anniversary of the force’s founding, the president affirmed: “I will be looking into the matters in this dossier, as I have just said”.
