Mozambique demands return of artefacts looted during colonialism

The President of the Republic of Botswana, Ian Khama, is expected today in Mozambique, for a three-day state visit at the invitation of his counterpart, Filipe Nyusi.
During the visit, Khama, who is also president in exercise for the Southern African Development Community (SADC) is expected to assess the stage of cooperation between the two countries with his Mozambican counterpart.
A press release of the Presidency sent to Folha de Maputo states that both statesmen will address the implementation of the understandings achieved during the sessions of the Joint Commission.
During his visit to the country, Khama’s agenda includes a visit to the Cahora Bassa dam, in Tete province,, and Midal Cables International factory, located in Boane district, Maputo province.
On this visit, the President of Botswana will be accompanied by his foreign minister, Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi, and other members of government.
